Act 1

Chapter 1: The Ordinary World - We are introduced to The Traveler, a brilliant alchemist who wears a white lab coat, working in his laboratory filled with complex equipment and materials. The Traveler is fascinated by the idea of alternate dimensions and spends most of his time researching and conducting experiments to explore these possibilities.

Chapter 2: The Traveler's Life - The Traveler lives a solitary life, dedicating himself to his work and rarely interacting with others. He is well-respected in the scientific community for his groundbreaking research, but he struggles with feelings of isolation and a sense that there is more to the world than what he knows. He has dreams of flashes of other lives, alternate realities, and visions from endless time. He devotes years to finding ancient texts and keeps coming across the name of another realm, or a process in experiencing it, "Penumbra".

Chapter 3: The Call to Adventure - One night, as The Traveler performs a ritualistic experiment he had found in one of these ancient texts, a blend of science and the occult, causing a shadowy figure to emerge from an art frame on the wall. The figure, known as The Shadow Guide, beckons The Traveler to step through a glowing blue door it has opened as a portal into the shadow realm.

Chapter 4: Testing the Path - The Traveler hesitates but, driven by curiosity and a desire for discovery, he decides to step through the door. As he does so, his white lab coat transforms into a cloak with a hood, signifying the beginning of his journey into the unknown. He is given a cane to use for travel on his journey, from entities inside this passageway to the next realm.

Chapter 5: Refusal of the Call - As The Traveler enters the shadow realm, he is initially overwhelmed by the darkness and otherworldly nature of this new dimension. He walks with his cane, on an glowing orange path. Fearful of what lies ahead, he considers turning back and returning to the safety of his laboratory, but the path behind him is faded and dissipates more with every step.

Chapter 6: Embracing the Journey - But The Traveler's bravery and intrigue pushes him to move forward, and he decides to press on, guided by The Shadow Guide who urges him to continue exploring the mysteries of the shadow realm. The Shadow Guide beckons The Traveler to enter the shadowy Alleyway and continue to the street. The traveler loses his cane as he steps off the glowing orange path, representing the true step into the unknown, by breaking the safe path, he is no longer aided by the cane.

Act 2

Chapter 7: The traveler follows and steps into the street, now full of color, there is an engraved sign on a wall after they step through that reads in latin "abandon all hope, ye who enter here" A sense of fear flows into the man, his cloak now opening and short almost like a cape, with a full hood, and is now black in color.

Chapter 8: Tests - As The Traveler navigates the chaotic streets, he witnesses a violent riot taking place. As the riot escalates, The Traveler's skin darkens to a purple hue, and he begins to transform into a tall, genderless being known as The Being, temporarily. This transformation represents his growing vulnerability and his need to adapt to the challenges of the alternate dimensions.

Chapter 9: Escaping Chaos - The Traveler must move on and knows they cannot stay in this place of chaos, and searches for a passage of escape. They find a stairwell that leads seemingly underground, but is actually a portal to yet another dimensional layer of reality. The Traveler finds themselves in a liminal space of backdoors to alternative realms, represented by large framed surrealist art, inside of twisting gallery labyrinth.

Chapter 10: Meeting the Mentor - After stepping through the art frame, The Traveler bends space and time, and encounters The Artist inside the gallery from which they came. The Artist helps The Traveler understand the nature of these alternate realities and she speaks the importance of embracing change and self-discovery.

Chapter 11: Wisdom from the Artist - The Artist further explains to The Traveler that each dimension offers unique lessons and challenges, separate from time itself. She tells him that these experiences will ultimately lead him to a greater understanding of himself and the nature of reality.

Chapter 12: Crossing the Threshold - Encouraged by The Artist's words to continue on the path, The Traveler steps through the same work of the living art they had passed through before, but syncing with themselves in this timeless reality and enters a new dimension. Here, The Traveler finds himself in a geometric surreal desert landscape, a post-apocalyptic reality of another world, and another time.

Act 3

Chapter 13: Approaching the Inner Cave - The Traveler explores the geometric surreal desert, walking a path of solitude for what feels like epochs, where he is forced to confront his own fears and insecurities. He encounters mysterious Geometric Entities who communicate in a language beyond his comprehension.

Chapter 14: Evolving and Adapting - As The Traveler struggles to understand the Geometric Entities, he realizes that he must evolve and adapt to the challenges of this new dimension. He begins to develop new skills and a greater understanding of his own potential.

Chapter 15: The Ordeal - Tested by the Geometric Entities, The Traveler must face a life-or-death challenge in the surreal desert. He discovers that he can manipulate the very fabric of this reality, but doing so comes at a great cost to his own well-being.
